incredibly rare Mauser rifle that was originally made in Germany in 1944. But later used by the country of Israel. This really is a cool piece of history. In the 1950s and 60s, Israel began converting many of these K98ks to 7.62 NATO (.308 Winchester) to standardize ammunition with NATO allies (and because 7.62 NATO was becoming more available than 8mm Mauser).
