Excellent condition mostly numbers matching Egyptian Contract Model FN-49 semi-auto rifle chambered in 8mm Mauser (7.92x57mm). Manufactured in Belgium in 1955, this BEAUTIFUL rifle functions flawlessly and is in excellent condition. Receiver ring has the monarchical crown of King Farouk and “Egyptian Army” inscribed below that along with the stock brass disc with the specific army unit.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The original stock is in a 2-piece wood configuration featuring military-style pistol-grip (12-¾" L.O.P.), brass trapdoor buttplate, smooth forend. Stock is in excellent condition but does have two repairs I didn’t see until I was looking at the high-resolution photos (bottom front of stock and top rear of stock next to buttplate. Comes with original leather sling.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and crisp.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95%+ of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows handling and operational wear with thinning on the edges and contact points. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action, bolt-face, spring tension functions perfectly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
