Colt Model Commander Lightweight 4-1/4" barrel .45 acp. semi-auto pistol. Serial # and Colt Factory Letter date gun to 1951 mfg. with shipping to World Famous Gun Retailer Edward K. Tryon Company Philadelphia, PA on September 1, 1951. Edward K. Tryon Co. was the largest sporting goods retailer in the U.S. and possibly the world for some time. Features an amazing flawless original high polish blued slide, no blemishes. Pristine original black anodized aluminum alloy frame. New condition original brown Bakelite checked grips. Bore and function as new, gun shows no signs of being fired.
